The Metasys 9.0 solution for building automation from Johnson Controls now has two IP / Ethernet-based BACnet controllers and a user interface that makes it easy to locate important information and solve problems more easily, while reducing costs when using Ethernet networks.
Because the two new controllers communicate on Ethernet networks, they support increased network performance and bandwidth, also enabling easier integration as well as enabling the BAS network for the future with Ethernet cabling.
Additionally, the controllers are certified in BTL as BACnet advanced application controllers (B-AAC), include a real-time clock for internal programming, alarms, and support star and daisy-chain network cabling topologies.
For its part, the enhanced user interface includes a Network Building feature, which provides access to all the components of the Metasys solution for a better browsing experience. The view of Building Network does not require configuration, allowing to finish an installation more quickly.
