We live in a world in which digital tools have made life easier in many ways, both everyday and professional. Thanks to internet, today we can be in constant touch with who we want, share files, listen to music, and something very important: keep us informed.
The always be informed in a decision of each of us, but is a string born with an event that then becomes news or information made if you reach the mass audience we want to attract. However, unfortunately, our industry still seems to live in the stone age regarding the use of digital platforms to benefit themselves and other members of the sector.
Specifically I emphasize some associations in Latin America, who apparently forgot that today the main core of information should be your website. A space that each industry professionals should consult almost daily to find out what happens in your country in everything related to air conditioning and refrigeration, but unfortunately, in some places it does not.
However, first I greatly applaud the work they are doing some trade associations to keep their websites updated with news of relevant documents training seminars, events, among others. But, without mentioning names (not hurt susceptibility), it is worrisome visit some websites of these entities in which the last updates were given two, three or four years ago.
I clearly understand that the lack of budget, the sum of many responsibilities, among other factors, may explain the abandonment of these digital portals, but this should not be an excuse to evade responsibility that each association has with the union of their country and also we inform the media professionals.
The invitation is to reconsider in this regard and seek as far as possible be updated. Remember that at stake is the image of your association and your country.
